Schlam celebrates 100th Hercules truck bed

Schlam has celebrated the production of its 100th Hercules mining truck bed manufactured in China.
The milestone was celebrated on March 28 at the Longyan Ruihua Tongyong Machinery’s facility in Longyan, Fujian Province, China, with government officials, customers and suppliers in attendance.
“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate (the) Tongyong and Schlam team on our lasting friendship,” Longyan Ruihua Tongyong Machinery managing director Lianrong Qiu said.
“(The) Tongyong team learned a high standard of safety and quality management system from Schlam, which is undoubtedly a lifelong experience.
“Tongyong will continue to safeguard quality with unwavering craftsmanship and contribute to the next milestone through concrete actions.”
The 100th unit delivery marks a key milestone in Schlam’s global expansion.
“In a relatively short time, we’ve developed into a truly global company,” Schlam payload managing director Hendrik Mueller said.
“We’ve achieved a lot, and celebrated many milestones along the way with our customers and suppliers, including our 100th truck bed produced in China.”
First built in Australia in 2003, the Hercules truck bed is now used in mining operations around the world and has become synonymous with payload efficiency and performance.
With over 2500 Hercules units produced to date, primarily in Australia, demand from Asia, Africa and other mining regions prompted Schlam to establish manufacturing capabilities in China.
“Our manufacturing partnership in China enables Schlam to efficiently supply customers in key global mining centres, whilst maintaining our leading quality and delivery in full on time standards,” Mueller said.
“We are proud of this milestone, which is a testament to how our two companies have worked and grown together.”
