Record Broken at Mobarakeh Steel’s Temper Mill Line

The head of the Skin Pass and Temper Mill lines in the Cold Rolling Division of Mobarakeh Steel Company has announced a 3,000-ton production increase at the temper mill line, bringing total annual output to 140,000 tons—an increase of 300,000 tons compared to the previous year.
Abdolrahim Sadeghi stated that the hardworking employees of the Cold Rolling Division, achieved a new annual production record at the temper mill line in 2024. This line produces material used for manufacturing tin-coated cans for food preservation.
He emphasized that this achievement was made without major investments for fundamental optimization of the line. The record was accomplished using existing resources through improved efficiency, reduced downtimes, precise planning, and effective coordination with preceding and following production lines.
According to Sadeghi, the record holds even greater significance due to the production of the special DR8 grade in 2024 with a thickness of just 0.17 mm—thinner than a sheet of paper—making it much more complex to manufacture than the previously dominant T3 grade with a thickness of 0.22 mm.
Sadeghi noted that producing thinner coils, especially DR8 grade with higher strength despite lower thickness, requires specialized knowledge and skills, as even the smallest deviation can cause sheet tearing and reduced quality. The record-setting production was also accompanied by enhanced product quality, reflecting the efforts of both production and maintenance teams.
He concluded by expressing gratitude for the support of divisional management, the temper mill rolling team, and the collaboration of supporting departments, planning units, and technical offices.
