NICICO Becomes the Most Valuable Company in Iran’s Capital Market in the First Eight Months

A review of the performance of major listed companies in Iran reveals that the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) emerged as the most valuable company in the country’s capital market during the first eight months of 2024, with an average market valuation of 527.1 trillion rials.

The CEO of Atiyeh Andishan Investment Company, Mustafa Zehtabian, congratulated all industrialists and economic contributors, particularly those in the copper industry, on December 13th, Iran’s National Copper Industry Day. He highlighted NICICO’s stock performance since the beginning of 2024, stating:

“The cumulative return of NICICO shares (Foolad-e-Melli or FML) in the year leading up to December 2024 has been 27.9%, in contrast to the overall stock market index, which recorded a negative 1% return during the same period.”

Zehtabian also noted that NICICO achieved a 5% growth in copper cathode production during the first eight months of this year, reaching a total of 193,000 tons.

This impressive performance underscores NICICO’s resilience and leadership in Iran’s capital market and its growing influence within the copper industry.
