According to Mining News Pro - The CEO of Nicico’s Engineering and Development Company said: The necessary studies for the construction of wind power plants are on the agenda so that in the near future, we will see the completion of the energy supply portfolio required for development projects.

“This project is currently in the final stages with 94% of physical progress, and until now Ben-Yeke solar power plant is fully operational with a capacity of 5 megawatts and 10 megawatts of capacity. 25 MW of Khatun Abad solar power plant is connected to the electricity grid,” said Babak Ashja’ regarding the progress of the solar power plant project.

“By the end of September of this year, the mentioned project will be completed and Khatunabad and Ben-Yeke solar power plants will be fully connected to the national grid,” he added.

“Water and electricity are the two main pillars of development, and fortunately, in the National Company of Copper Industries of Iran, in addition to planning the construction of thermal power plants, there is a special look at using the capacities of renewable energies,” he said.

He said that this project has been implemented with a credit amounting to 15 million euros and with the aim of using the potential and capacities of solar energy in the country and especially in Kerman province.
