WA Mining 2024 will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 9–10.

Show director Siobhan Rocks said the purpose of the event is to bring the key players together and give them an opportunity to learn about advanced technology, innovation and analytics.

“With digitalisation and automation such driving forces in the mining industry, it makes sense that new technologies will take centre stage at this year’s event,” Rocks said.

“We’re here to connect mining businesses, and the exhibition floor will showcase the range of technical and digital innovations available across the entire resources value chain.”

WA Mining’s targeted paid conference will run alongside the exhibition, aimed at C-suite and D-suite mining teams and will focus on innovative ways to prepare business for the challenges in the future.

Ferry Jie, an Associate Professor in supply chain and logistics management at Edith Cowan University will take part in a panel discussion that will discuss how tech-driven mining operations can unlock enhanced efficiency and precision, as well as what the future holds for smart mining.

“I’ll be exploring how advanced technology in mining operations, including automation and real-time data analytics, can improve supply chain performance efficiency and responsiveness,” he said.

Denver Technology, a leading consultancy and technology services provider, is the lounge sponsor for this year’s event.
