MSC wants to provide 4.5 million tons of iron ore
Mining News Pro - Mobarake Steel Company is the buyer of about 7.5 million tons of concentrate for the pelletizing unit.
According to Mining News Pro – Mostafa Fakhri mentioned the entry of Mobarakeh Steel Company into metal mining and said that MSC is the buyer of about 7.5 million tons of concentrate for the pelletizing unit. With the activities of this department during the last two to three years, with the efforts and support of the CEO of this company, about two million tons of concentrate is provided through the mining activities of this deputy. This number started from very small amounts and has now reached two million tons.
“We hope that with the development of mining activities in the next years, we will be able to eliminate the need to buy concentrate. Naturally, investing in upstream lines and mines, more added value will be given to the group and it will bring more profit to the shareholders,” he explained.
“These two million tons of concentrate are supplied through factories whose feed is lumped and granulated iron ore; That is, up to the size of 700 mm stone after mining operation is imported to the processing factories of Yazd, Razavi Khorasan, South Khorasan and Kurdistan, and the supply of these two million tons will be done for this year and next year, when naturally we will have more plans,” he said about the supply of iron ore concentrate.
Fakhri said that supply of iron ore comes before the concentrate. Most of the iron ore is supplied from cooperative or private mines owned by Mobarakeh Steel. We also own the front part of the concentrate factory, and this year we will extract nearly two million and 500 thousand tons of iron ore, after processing, the concentrate will enter Mobarakeh Steel.
