The project was completed in 2014 and began to operate in 2015. Gohar design is currently in production, and this unit was able to increase its monthly production record in May this year, Gogohar unit produced 136.448 tons of sponge iron in May this year, which is the nominal capacity of the plant was higher.

The project, Megamedol II, was launched on October 15, 2013, and the project was called Kosar. Since the executor of the Kowsar project was the same project executor of the project, the cost of implementing this project was considered as the project of the Gohar of 63 million euros and $21, 400,000 of the Rials (according to the schedule of budget and organization plans), but so From the beginning of the project, it was proposed by the contractor that the annual production capacity of 2 million tons would be considered, and a sulfur compound would be added to the unit, which was accepted by the company and as a result of the contract for the implementation of the Kowsar project to 71 million The euro was upgraded in foreign currency and $ 22,200,000 on the same basis.

The launch of Megamedoll Kowsar began on January 19, 2017, and today officially enters the trial phase.
