Mining News - Panasonic`s cobalt consumption is expected to increase more than 2 times over 5 years as the company will design and build its upcoming plans. Panasonic is the exclusive supplier of Tesla batteries for all Tesla electric vehicles.
Reports indicate that the development of Cobalt batteries will last for many years, and market participants say Panasonic will offer a lot of additional market share.
Market participants also said that the use of cobalt by Panasonic next year will be estimated at 10 thousand tons, and consumption will increase by 25 thousand tons by 2020.
They say Panasonic`s cobalt consumption will be around 8,000 tonnes this year
