Steel Ingot Output Up 23%

Mining News -According to the report of Public relations of IMIDRO, major Iranian steelmakers produced 1.685million tons of Steel ingots in the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21-April 22), indicating a 23% growth compared with last year’s corresponding period.

Mobarakeh Steel Complex (Mobarakeh Steel Company, Saba Steel Company and Hormozgan Steel Company) had the lion’s share with 857thousand and 436 tons followed by KSC with 342 thousand and 862 tons, Esfahan Steel Company with 210thousand and 188 tons, South Kaveh Steel Company with 92 thousand and 122 ton, Khorasan Steel Company with 91 thousand and 120 tons, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Complex with67 thousand and 103 tons, Iran Alloy Steel Company with 24 thousand and 216 tons.

Iran’s eight major steelmakers produced an aggregate of 961thousand and 837 tons of Steel products in the first month to register a 10% growth YOY.

MSC and its subsidiary Saba Steel had the largest share of production with 597 thousand and 280 tons, followed by ESCO with 195 thousand and 121 tons, Oxin Steel Company with 61 thousand and 167 tons, Khorasan Steel Company with 56 thousand and 281 tons, Azarbaijan Steel Company with 26 thousand and 825 tons, Iran Alloy Steel Company with 14 thousand and 157tons, Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Automotive Sheet Company with 10thousand and 528 tons and INSIG with478 tons.

Major Iranian mining companies including Mobarakeh Steel Complex (Mobarakeh Steel Company, Saba Steel Company and Hormozgan Steel Company),Sefid dasht Steel company, South Kaveh Steel Company, Ghadir Iron and Steel Company, Middle East Mines and Mining Industries Development Holding Company, Khouzestan Steel Company, Khorasan Steel Company and ESCO produced an aggregate of 0ne million and 756thousand and 724 tons of DRI in first month of the current Iranian year indicating a 12% growth YOY.
