Mining News Agency -Iran’s two major coal production companies had a total output of 675,808 tons of coal concentrates in the last fiscal year (ended March 20, 2018), indicating a 12% rise year-on-year, the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization reported on its website.
Mining News-Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company accounted for 570,086 tons of the total output and Central Alborz Coal Company for the remaining 105,722 tons. The two companies’ performance for the 12th month of the year (Feb. 20-March 20) stood at 39,343 tons. Iranian coal mines, with about 1.15 billion tons of reserves, have the capacity to produce up to 3 million tons of coal concentrates annually.
