According to Mining News Pro -Azimut Exploration of Longueuil, Que., recently acquired the Elmer gold property next door to its Duxbury property. Together these properties provide a controlling position over a highly prospective 32-km corridor known as the Elmer trend.

The Elmer property is located 285 km north of the town of Matagami and 60 km east of the village of Eastmain.

Azimut says the geological setting and mineralized context share strong similarities with the Windfall project belonging to Osisko Mining. Comparisons have also been made between features of the Windfall project belonging to Osisko Mining. Comparisons have also been made between features of the Elmer trend and both the Hemlo and Bousquet-Doyon gold camps.

Only a few of the targets at Elmer have been drilled, and most of those ended at about 200 metres below surface. Azimut is reviewing the historical records and mounting a field program in the short term.
