Mining News -According to the report of public relations of IMIDRO, Sabzevar DRI plant is the fifth provincial steel projects which was inaugurated so far. In this ceremony with attendance of chairman of the board of IMIDRO, Mehdi Karbasian, Sabzevar DRI plant was inaugurated by President Rouhani.

This project was stagnant until 2014, but due to IMIDRO’s new strategy and participation of private sector the project has been activated.

Production capacity of Sabzevar DRI plant is 800 thousand tonnes. Sabzevar DRI plant produced its first products in February 2018.

The investment of this project is about 7500 billion rials and led to 300 direct and 1500 indirect employment.

Sabzevar DRI plant is one of the provincial steel projects which was conducted by IMIDRO and participation of private sector.

IMIDRO spent over 2 thousand and 150 billion rials in Sabzevar DRI plant.
