Mining News Agency - According to local news, China National Development Committee announced to local authority to lift the ban for imported coking coal. Because the energy shortage happened over the cities and countryside in China, this action is to make sure the energy supply without any trouble but no more explanation for how long it would be.
Mining News - The highly demand for coking coal in China normally appeared before Chinese New Year and last around fifteen days. And it was estimated the turning point would be in the end of January.
It was estimated that since July 1st, China government began to prohibit to import cocking coal business. After that, the total amount of the coal imports has decreased significantly.
In November, the whole country produced less than 300 million tons and it showed the capacity was still not enough.
