Mining News Agency - According to the latest data released by the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), global nickel and zinc supply shortage would continue to extend, with zinc shortages from 202,000 tons in 2016 to 504,000 tons in the first nine months of the year.
Mining News - Global apparent consumption of nickel exceeded 46,600 tons in the first nine months of the year. While the zinc supply shortage was 68,200 tons in 2016.
During January-September, the nickel mine production was 1.4481 million tons, up by 47,000 tons compared with the same period of last year. China`s nickel smelting and refining plant production decreased by 24,000 tons compared with the same period of last year, the apparent consumption demand fell by 153,000 tons compared with the same period of last year.
