On June 20, 2018, COREM president and CEO Francis Fournier and Coo of Quebec Iron Ore jointly announce that the mining company is joining COREM as a member.

Joining COREM’s membership is a logical follow-up to Quebec Iron Ore’s ongoing efforts to constantly improve our productivity, efficiency and performance through the implementation of technological innovations. We are very happy to join such a prestigious group,” said Cataford.
COREM is a centre of expertise and innovation specializing in ore processing with the largest number of resources devoted to R&D in the mineral processing industry. The centre have major equipment and infrastructure including a 5,300 m 2 pilot plant and specialized metallurgy and mineralogy labs.
